In 1974, the Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation was founded by the leaders of the early Korean-American community with the purpose of preserving their Korean roots after immigrating to the United States. In the great city of Los Angeles, where many diverse cultures co-exist, the Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation is considered one of the major advocates of furthering the knowledge of Korean culture and its traditions. The LAKF Foundation works year-round in organizing the four-day festival to carry out the mission of providing the community with a festival that is an instrument of inclusivity and an advocate of cultural diversity awareness, providing not only the Korean cultural heritage but also bringing together the numerous ethnic groups residing in Los Angeles.

1974년, 로스앤젤레스 한국 축제 재단(Los Angeles Korean Festival Foundation)은 초기 한국계 미국인 커뮤니티의 지도자들에 의해 미국으로 이민 온 후 한국 뿌리를 보존할 목적으로 설립되었습니다. 다양한 문화가 공존하는 위대한 도시 로스앤젤레스에서, LAKF 재단은 한국 문화와 그 전통에 대한 지식을 널리 알리는 주요 단체 중 하나로 여겨집니다. LAKF 재단은 포용성과 문화 다양성 인식을 위한 도구로서 커뮤니티에 축제를 제공하는 사명을 실현하기 위해 1년 내내 4일간의 축제를 조직하며, 한국 문화 유산뿐만 아니라 로스앤젤레스에 거주하는 수많은 민족 집단을 하나로 모읍니다.
